WHAT is Rogaining?

Rogaining is the sport of long distance cross-country navigation, in which teams of two to five people visit as many checkpoints as they wish in a set time period.

who can compete

Rogaining is open to anyone physically able to walk on bush tracks and cross country. How far and how fast is up to you and your team.

what do i need

Having the right equipment can make a your rogaine more enjoyable and safer. If you have outdoor gear then you probably have the gear you will need.

Volunteer

MEET THE volunteers

volunteers

Our sport relies on people who volunteer. If we have no volunteers, we will have no events. Most people enjoy volunteering because they get to experience new places, new people and new activites without the pressure of competition.

Our New President

We had an AGM after the Minigaine. At the AGM Trevor Gollan stood down from the President’s role and Graham Field, pictured here, put his hand up to take over as President.

Many of you will know Graham since he has been doing a great job as Volunteer Coordinator for the last 4 or 5 years.

Trevor Gollan has put his hand up to be Vice President, a role that has been vacant for the last 12 months. In a few lines, I can’t do justice to Trev’s contribution to rogaining but suffice to say he has been a major driving force behind the sport of rogaining in NSW for many years. Trev’s first stint on the Organising Committee was in 1986.

Join with me in thanking Trev for his ongoing service to our sport and in welcoming Graham to the role of President.
