The Autumngaine is set on the scenic Chapman property in Garland Valley on Putty Road, about 2 1/4 hours from the Sydney CBD. The terrain is a mix of native forest and open grassy valleys with an extensive track network. The maximum vertical distance across the course is 200m.
It offers a variety of route options suited for novices and families while the more ambitious teams will be challenged with some technical terrain and navigation.
There are two events, 6 and 12 hours with a mass start at midday.
Camping will be available on Friday and Saturday night at the Hash Housea and is included in your entry.
For those who prefer more privacy, you can check with our hosts for availability of private camp sites (at your own cost) at:
www.chapmanvalleyhorseriding.com or you can make it a weekend for the family and book a horse ride on Sunday!
The wildlife is abundant and you will have plenty of opportunity to spot kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas, bandicoots, goannas, 4 species of cockatoos, crimson and eastern roselas, lorikeets, babblers, fairy wrens, a variety of honeyeaters, pied and grey butcherbirds, herons, ducks, and many more.
At night you will hear (or see) owls, sugar gliders and even yellow bellied gliders!
