So, you’ve found an event on our calendar that you’re keen to try — great! Here’s how to enter:
Online entries typically open 1–2 months before each event. Entry opening dates are announced on the NSW Rogaining website, so keep an eye out!
Rogaining is a team sport — teams must have 2 to 5 members. Make sure you have your team organised before you begin the entry process.
Don’t have a team yet?
No worries! Head to the event’s webpage and use the Partner Finding Service to connect with others.
One team member will enter the whole team online in a single transaction. It’s easiest if that person collects all the required information beforehand:
Full names (first and last)
Contact phone numbers
Year of birth
Gender
Address
Emergency contact details
Concession status (see our fee structure)
The first person listed will be the team contact — they’ll need to provide an email address.
Our online entry system is managed by Queensland Rogaining, so don’t be surprised if you’re redirected to:

To complete your team entry:
Enter all team members in one go
Pay all fees in a single transaction using a credit card
Important: Your team will only be entered once full payment for all members is received.
You’ll receive an invoice by email confirming your payment.
Your team will appear on the team list for that event shortly after.
Mistakes happen — no problem! Use the Team Changes button on the event page to:
Add or remove team members
Edit team details
Or, contact us at admin@nswrogaining.org for help before the event or on the day.
The blog posts are a good resource. You can read a range of technical articles about rogaining and also read wrap ups of past events.
This video was taken as a summary of the 3hr Minigaine, “Escape to the City” at Little Bay in 2023 and gives you an idea of what to expect at a Minigaine.
In the video there are a lot of teams shown running. Most teams do not run and even in a 3hr event you can get well up the leaderboard without running a single step.
