Event overview

We’re going back to Glenbrook for the first time since 2008. The “Gateway to the Mountains” is also a great intro to the sport, and a welcome challenge for veterans. The off-track will be a mix of gentle open forest, rock platforms, and bouldery creeks – but also some bushfire regrowth that will fight back against the unwary. The trails themselves will also not disappoint, with some of the most iconic walking trails and lookouts within an hour of Sydney.

Highlights:

✅ Lookouts galore – Nepean river, Emu Plains, Mt. Portal… you’ll be hard pressed to visit them all.

✅ Euroka creek and Glenbrook Causeway.

✅ Red hands cave and grinding grooves.

Mountain bike trails

The Oaks Fire Trail is central to the course. If you’ve got stoke and spokes, make a weekend of the trip, get a day out on the trails, then camp at Euroka Clearing before the event.

Swimming holes (brrrr)

If you’re keen on a super brisk and refreshing dip, Jellybean Pools are a well-known and loved spot for a swim. Make sure you have a warm fire waiting for you!

What is rogaining?

A fun team sport, navigating using map, compass and clues to visit as many checkpoints as possible within the time limit. It’s a “choose your own adventure” experience in outdoor environments where teams explore the course for as much or as little of the allocated time as they like.

Our sport is for all ages and fitness levels, from families walking with small children through to bushwalkers and runners. Rogaining encourages the development of strategy and navigational skills, fitness, and the ability to work in a team.

For more information, check out the Learning Centre.
