And when everyone thought the LaneCoveRivergaine series concluded with last years’ LCR IV, we are pleased to announce that there are two more LCRs to go till we reach the heads of Sydney Harbour.

This years’ LCR V ‘Socialgaine’ covers the north shore from Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Spit Bridge, undoubtedly some of the most spectacular harbour scenery in the world.

The tracing of the Lane Cove River from its source to the ocean began with LCR I in February 2015, starting at Pennant Hills and extending to De Burghs Bridge in West Pymble.  In 2016, LCR II continued the journey down the river to Stringybark Creek in Lane Cove.  In 2017 LCR III continued to Fig Tree Bridge, and in 2022 LCR IV reached the Harbour Bridge.

On Sunday 19 November 2023 you will have the opportunity of entering the penultimate event in this legendary sextuple series.

The Hash House (start & finish) for the six-hour socialgaine will again be at the North Sydney Community Centre, 220 Miller Street. The event will start at 10am and conclude at 4pm with a free BBQ provided by the world-renowned 1st North Sydney Scout Group, with its three-star chef preparing gourmet eats.  Paddy Pallin have provided prizes for the category winners.
