The event starts at 10:00am. Maps available from 8am.
Garigal NP is located in the northern part of Sydney and the area for the Socialgaine will include beautiful and varied forests, cool streams with big rock platforms, magnificent views and some challenging terrain. As well as the NP, the course includes lots of suburban parks and paths in the Belrose and Frenchs Forest area.
The course will include lots of stroller friendly areas as well as the more challenging bush tracks for those seeking more adventurous routes. The Hash House will be at Belrose Public School and there is a bus route nearby as well as shops to purchase last minute coffee or other necessities. The Hash House has lots of undercover outdoor space and beautiful shady grounds for planning but it might be good to bring your own tables/chairs unless you are happy to sit on the ground or school benches.
There are lots of creeks to cool off if the weather is warm, lots of places from which to enjoy views over the park, the suburbs, ocean, lake and beautiful forest. There is an extensive track system, many of which are used by mountain bikers.
Parking around the school is limited and in a residential area so it will be important to try and carpool and to be considerate of the neighbours.
