Description

We’re taking you back to the western Blue Mountains for the 2017 NSW Champs. We’ve set the course SE of Oberon on plateau lands where the terrain is generally open native woodland with good visibility and reasonably fast travel.

There is abundant wildlife on the course including wombats, wallabies and lyrebirds as well as historical mining diggings to watch out for.

We’ve set a championship course to challenge our best. But there’s choice for more relaxed and novice participants to plan an easier course with both 8 and 24 hour events on offer.

There’s a good Hash House site with lots of room for camping and there will also be a train and bus transport option if you don’t want to drive.

Come and enjoy some of the best Rogaining in some of the best Rogaining country around.

There will be a bus from Lithgow to event and return for $40. Entrants pay own way by train from Central to Lithgow and return train to Lithgow leaving Central around 3pm. Have a quick meal in Lithgow about 6 and catch our bus to the event leaving about 7, arriving at the HH about 8.30 (no Friday night meal planned at the HH).Bring your camping gear. Current timetable gets people back to Central about 7pm on Sunday night. (Still subject to confirmation.)

Note that if you want to be the NSW Champ you will have to enter the 24 hour event.
