“Nyctophobia Buster” 5 or 2½ hr Night Rogaine, Saturday 6th July
Entries Open Now!

Will you be Lost and Scared Forever?

Nyctophobia: nɪktə(ʊ)ˈfəʊbɪə ; noun ; extreme or irrational fear of the night or of darkness. Buster (bʌstə ; noun ; something that bursts, breaks, or destroys a specified thing.

The first, but hopefully not the last, Nyctophobia Buster night rogaine is little over a month away on the evening of Saturday 6th July, and the event team, of which I am a part, has been working hard to put together a unique event that is different to any other on our calendar. With a huge range of control location choices, the navigation will be as hard, or as easy as teams want it to be, with an abundance of route choice options that allow teams their own choice of whether to face the deep bush, or stick to the “civility” of the streets.

The HH will be based at the Hornsby Heights Scout Hall, a short trip from easily accessible Hornsby station which we can organise lifts from for those unable to drive. Whilst the course will appear completely different when you are there, some photos to tempt you are below:

Please enter here to show your support to what we hope can become a regular fixture in the calendar!

World Rogaining Champs in Spain Fast Approaching!

It is fantastic to see that over a dozen NSWRA Members will be making a trip over to La Molina, Pirineus Catalunya, Spain for the 16th World Rogaining Championships on 27th and 28th July. If you are looking for a last minute excuse to give it a go, you may be lucky to scrape in some late entries on the website here.

Our next edition will give a full listing of NSW teams who have entered, some doorstop interviews on how they’ve been preparing, and what they’re hoping to do..
