What a great way to spend a Saturday night!

On Saturday 2nd May, join us for a 5-hour or 3-hour night rogaine in the beautiful Berowra Valley National Park, with the hash house based at Cherrybrook.

Instead of staying home watching reruns or scrolling through another streaming queue, head out into the bush with friends — navigating under the stars, collecting controls, and experiencing the park in a whole new way.

Night rogaining is a uniquely fun adventure and perfect for everyone — from first-timers to seasoned competitors. There will be plenty of accessible controls for novices, along with some far-flung, challenging ones designed to test even the most experienced rogainers.

So, swap the couch for a headlamp and make some real memories. Join us at Cherrybrook for an unforgettable night of navigation, teamwork, and outdoor fun.

Entries are open now — don’t miss out

2026 NSWRA Committee

Following a record attendance at the AGM following the Minigaine, the 2026 Committee has a few new faces and of course almost all of the wise and dedicated faces from last year.

We welcome new members Zoe Melling, Sharon Lambert, Peter Hopper and Ivan Koudashev to the Committee and say farewell and a big thanks to Richard Sage, who has put in many years of voluntary service to NSW Rogaining as a past president, Committee member and Warwick Marsden Award recipient.

The rest of the NSW Committee are:

Graham Field (President)

Robin Cameron (Vice President & Volunteer Coordinator)

John Clancy (Secretary)

Mike Hotchkis (Treasurer)

Arthur Day (Publicity and Newsletter Editor)

Mark von Huben (Equipment Officer)

Charles Kuan (Safety Officer)

Bob Montgomery

Pam Montgomery

Siobhan Tobin (Web Administrator)

Matt Berrington (Web Administrator)

After a very rewarding 3 years, I’ve decided that this year will be my last as President of the NSWRA and will step down at next year’s AGM. I’m really encouraged by the mix of youth and experience we have to guide the association in 2026 and beyond, and I look forward to working with this great team in 2026.

Thanks

Graham

NSW & ACT 2026 Rogaining Calendars

Below is the latest state of play as the NSW and ACT calendars continue to firm up. The dates for two more very important interstate rogaines coming up in 2026 have also been set and the 2026 NSW ‘fridge-friendly’ printable calendar (pdf) is ready to download.

CALENDAR UPDATE: the dates for the NSW Championships and Nightgaine have changed (flipped) due to the possibility of hazard reduction burns in the Watagans in Autumn.

Planning an interstate trip? Check out the ARA's National Rogaining Calendar.
