Metrogaine, 6hr: 9 February 2014

Results are now available here.

The 6 hour Hornsbygaine encompassed the Berowra Valley National Park and surrounding suburbs. 160 Teams, comprising of over 400 participants, enjoyed the summer heat, spectacular vistas, great bush tracks, majestic trees, shy wildlife (including a snake or two), tranquil creeks, twists and turns, The Great North Walk, The Fishponds, a couple of hills and some shops on the way for a cool drink or ice-cream.

Many thanks to Gill Fowler, Belinda McLean, Ted Woodley and their team of volunteers for putting on a great first event of the year.

See some great photos here.

The 2014 NSWRA committee was elected at the AGM which was held at the end of the event. The committee will aim to ensure the 2014 events are successful, with many behind the scenes tasks.  We are still looking for a Safety Coordinator.   If you think this is up your alley, please contact our president, Gill Fowler.

We need volunteers to run events! Can YOU help out this year?

We are a voluntary organisation and need willing and able volunteers to ensure we can stage our 2014 events. Please have a look at the volunteer calendar page to see where help is needed and contact Ian Dempsey if you can lend a hand.

Volunteering can be a great way to see a course if you can’t make the event, and even practice your navigation skills (setting, vetting, flag hanging or collecting).
