NSWRA has again joined forces with Orienteering NSW to bring you a 3 hour rogaine/score event included as one of the 27 events in the very popular Sydney Summer Series of orienteering.
This year's event covers a mix of street and bushland navigation, featuring Sydney’s spectacular harbour foreshore around Mosman and Cremorne.
The event has a rolling start from 1pm to 3pm. This makes it possible for you to lend a hand on the admin desk for 1-2 hours before or after you run. Please contact Ian Dempsey with your offers.
“A Walkabout in a Water Wonderland” 6 hour Metrogaine

The Newcastle Rogaining Contingent hosted a fantastic Metrogaine last Sunday which started and finished at Bargoed House, Swansea. 322 people took to the elongated course sandwiched between the coast and the lake, on an excellent map. There was a bit more excitement this year, with road running reduced by incorporating pretty coastal tracks, stretches of beach, and even channels to swim or wade if you wanted to cut off a few kilometres of walking or running.

2013 Annual General Meeting – 3 March 2013
The annual general meeting of NSWRA will be after the Minigaine on Sunday March 3rd 2012, at 6:30pm. All office bearers and ordinary committee member positions will be open for election, and nominations for all positions are welcome.
Are you interested in being a member of the committee? Please contact anyone on the current committee should you have any questions.
Nominations require support of two NSWRA members and the nominee's approval in writing, and should be sent to the secretary by Sunday Feb 24th. Current committee members are happy to support suitable nominees, and additional nominations may be accepted at the meeting. Forms available here.
ACTRA Paddy Pallin – 6 hour Rogaine, 3 March 2013
This years ACTRA Paddy Pallin 6 hr rogaine will be held on Sunday 3 March. The event will be in the Tallaganda National Park to the east of Canberra. Our setters, Jean Douglass and Ron Simpson have promised a good mix of forest, open farmland, fire trails and smaller tracks. With wombats, lyrebirds and wallabies together with some views what more could you want for a fun day out. Find your favourite rogaining partner and enter today!

Trailer towers needed
Can you tow a trailer? We are looking for people to tow trailers to our events over the year. If you would like your petrol reimbursed and have a tow ball contact Mark Von Huben on 0425 215 092 or mvonhuben@cochlear.com to add your name to our trailer-tower list.
NSW Rogainer of the Year Competition 2013
To congratulate our best rogainers and to encourage your participation, NSWRA are running an annual Rogainer of the Year competition. Sign up to the Minigaine to either add more points to your tally, or start your tally for the year. We will get a link on the website after the Minigaine, with the Tally, so you can see how you’re placed.
