Our next event is ...

6hr & 12 hr Metrogaine:  Saturday 28 February, Pennant Hills

The 2015 "metrogaine" offers the choice of two durations, a 6 hour and a 12 hour event. Both start at 11am. This is the first time we have offered a 12 hour event for the metrogaine. So why not take the challenge this is a great opportunity to practice your night navigation.

The course encompasses the Lane Cove National Park and river catchment, from the river's source in Pennant Hills to the De Burghs Bridge at Killara.

The Hash House (start & finish) will be at the Baden-Powell Scout Centre, Pomona Street Pennant Hills. Accommodation is also available at the Scout Centre. For more info and to book see the event page.

3hr Minigaine:  Sunday 22 March, Kincumber Central Coast

The 2015 3-hour "Bell-birds" Minigaine will comprise of both individual and team entries, with a mass start at 12pm on Sunday 22nd March.

The course encompasses areas of Kincumba Mountain Reserve, Kincumber and its surrounds to the south. Come and navigate your way around suburban streets and along bush tracks, whilst taking in the scenic views and water ways. Oh ... and don't forget to listen for the Bell-birds. There will be challenges for those who wish to run the course as well as numerous playgrounds for the families to enjoy. The Hash House (start & finish) will be at Kincumber Public School, off Joalah Road.

Entries will open early March.


Notice of NSWRA Annual General Meeting 2015,  22 March 2015

Our NSWRA AGM will be held at the end of the Minigaine (at Kincumber) on Sunday 22 March 2015, the AGM will start approximately 3:30pm. Our AGM is a very short and casual affair. It's an opportunity to say a BIG thank you to all the committee and volunteers for 2014 All committee positions for 2015 are open for election. We are seeking nominations for all positions and all nominations are very welcome!

We are looking for new committee members!  Are you interested?  Do you want to find out more about what's involved??   If so, please contact anyone on the current committee, or give Gill a call on 0413 905 551.

Nominations do require the support of two NSWRA members and the nominee's approval in writing.  Please send you nominations to Dave Stanley, the secretary,  by Sunday 15 March.  Current committee members are happy to support nominees, and additional nominations may be accepted at the meeting.

2015 Australasian Rogaining Championships: 10 – 11 October 2015.

NSWRA is hosting the 2015 Australasian Championships. It's sure to be “A Cross-Country Caper". We are heading to Capertee National Park and we hope you'll join us.

Gill Fowler, Jess Baker, Robin Cameron and John Cameron, have been out exploring the course, and to find out more on their adventures have a look at the ARC2015 website Joel Mackay has pulled together.
