The area chosen for this event was bounded North and South by Narrabeen and Curl Curl respectively. Those seeking the challenging bushy areas could head out West to Oxford Falls and Red Hill.

Participants selected controls to maximise points using the myriad of navigable tracks and streets in the area. There were options for high routes with magnificent ocean vistas and paths that followed cliff lines and refreshing beaches. The goal was to spread the teams far and wide and give everybody a chance to find their own way in relative isolation.

The Hash House was at the Athletics Track at the Sydney Academy of Sports just off the Wakehurst Parkway, Narrabeen Lake.
