Gday rogainers,

Four items for you this time.  First up, our president Joel wants to tell you about the next rogaine ...

Socialgaine - Sunday 15th November

Hi NSW rogainers,

Just when you thought you were recovering from the (slightly damp, but nonetheless enjoyable) NSW champs, it is time to saddle up again and hit the streets and the bush trails of Morisset for our annual end of year bash, the Socialgaine! Entries are now open for what promises to be a very pleasant exploration of the lakefront, suburbs and countryside of this region. Swimming optional!

Enter online at  http://www.nswrogaining.org/AboutEvents/Events/09SG/09SG.htm
Online entries close on Sunday 8 November at 3 am.

See you there!

World Rogaining Championships - New Zealand
20-21 November 2010

Alan Mansfield reports ...

If you are interested in entering the 9th World Rogaining Championships you ( or rogainers you think may be interested) should make your self familiar with the entry criteria.  I would strongly recommend that you visit the 9th World Rogaining Championship 2010 web site.  Links to this information and site are on the NSW Rogaining home page at   http://www.nswrogaining.org

The key issue is that anybody may enter at any time after the first of November 2009 however there will be two periods where other rogainers are been offered Prequalification rights expiring on the 15th of December 2009 and Underrepresented Nations/Categories/Classes having 1st priority rights expiring on the 31st of January 2009. The list of Prequalified is at  http://wrc2010.org.nz/resources/pqe_entrants.htm

It is expected that the field will remain limited to 550 people and team sizes will be limited to 2 or 3 person teams.

Volunteering

Please consider volunteering to help out at an event.  We can only keep putting on events if enough people volunteer.   If you have done a few events and plan to do more, think about lending a hand.   Check out the current gaps in our Volunteers List  then contact Phil Whitten  on 02 4203 2773 (nswravc@gmail.com)  and talk to him about what you can do to help.   There are plenty of ways you can help out – some of them even allow you to still do the event!
